the site is
www.designsbysick.com I guuess the picture got deleted. I`m looking at brother poly thread for 45 canadian Gale |
I went into both websites and saved them. The one you have to buy in large quanties, but the Marathon does carry 100% quilting and embroidery thread and the price for a single spool in US dollars appears to be excellent. Don't know if it would be worth the shipping to order one spool to see how it works.
I am normally an Aurifil thread person. I love their threads and I have trying to find them discounted. My embroidery threads are the OS whatever by Berninia. Only because when the lfs closed I was able to buy a huge amount between 30 and 40%. Fortunately knowing sooner then most what was going on I was able to get as many as I could before they were all gone. But I would be extremely interested in attempting to save some money on threads. |
I have a spool of about every good brand of thread there is. I ask for samples! They all are as good as the other. At the big quilt shows what thread do I see on most demo machines? Signature big cone 100% poly. On the embroidery machines it's rayon thread, usually FilTec. One Bernina dealer shop I was in, the new Bernina 830 was quilting a detailed big design. When it was finished and everyone was examining the design which was beautiful, I looked at the cone of thread used. It was Coats and Clark rayon. The store didn't sell C&C and when I asked where she bought the big cones of it she got all huffy and said it was for testing.
