I have a couple of packages of embroidery blocks that I got on clearance from a Ben Franklin store. they are kind of plain.Just cross stitch on white blocks.Does anyone know where I can get some ideas on dressing them up a little.It's a great take along project. But really plain. Thanks in advance.FayZ

Can you take picture of one of them,might help to see what maybe can be done? I also have some I am not sure what to do with,got mine at garage sale. Good luck

Without knowing the pattern, I have no suggestions outward. I've seen some beautiful embroidered blocks done where they've done them totally with white floss on white cloth, or a very pale colour. Simple elegance!

You can dress them up when you sash and border them! Let their work shine thru though, don't let the sashing take control.
