Embroidered Lablels, How much info do you put on it?
I have made a quilt for my son's karate instructor and I am torn on what to put on the label. I was thinking of a quote from the Eternal Grand Master. Something like this:
To Mr. R****** From Andrew W****'s Mom Christmas 2013 Thank you for training A****. Your hardwork, dediation, and inspiration is greatly appreciated. You truely care about your kids you train. Keep up the great work, love what you do and do what you love. Songahm Star "Today Not Possible Tomorrow Possible" Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee Something like that....What do you think? I could write more, but I was afraid that there is a limit as to what woul look right with an embroidered label. This will be the first embroirdered label ive ever ordered. Thank you for your input! I know that a lot of people print out their labels, but I like to embroider mine. I put the name of the quilt, date, "to...", "made by ..." and maybe something extra, like a saying, or, "with love," etc. I like what you have proposed, but it may be a little long.

I embrodier my lables with the name of the quilt, date, made by, and maybe personal saying or to whom it was made for.

For my granddaughter's quilt; I wrote that it was for her by me (Gi-Gi) on her 2nd birthday. I put the yr. She loves animals so on one end I emb a cat laying upside down. I also put my real name and wished her a happy birthday. I've seen where people have put washing instructions as well.

Thank you everyone for the responses!

I think it should also have the date, city, and state where it was made.

the middle part seems long, maybe put it on a card. I like the saying at the end, that's great.

As much or as little as you want. It's your quilt and your label.
