Embroidery Machine Fonts for Making Quilt Labels
 

I want to machine embroider labels for my quilts. The fonts I have
seem to be too large. I want to put more information on the labels
than what my present font will allow, so I need smaller fonts.

What particular fonts do you use to machine embroidery your quilt labels?
You might sent pictures of labels you have done on your embroidery machine
that show a lot of information. Thanks!

I think my machine can make the fonts smaller or larger.

I have a small font. No idea where I purchased it. I remember I searched for hours and hours to find it. I think it is about 1/4 to 1-2 inch tall. I’m not home to take pictures. I think I googled 1/4 inch machine embroidery fonts.

My Janome 350E doesn't have a font small enough to suit me, when it comes to quilt labels. I have Digitizer software that I use to create the labels, and stitch them out on the embroidery machine.

I use the 3D Quilt Design Creator software to create my labels, then transfer the design to my embroidery machine via usb thumb drive

There are a lot of companies that digitize very small fonts. I would just Google 1/2 inch fonts. I use embroitique, embroidery boutique, itch2stitch, designs by juju, jolson, just to name a few. I also recommend embrilliance with ability to import fonts in bx so you can just type them in software making it super easy to do your label

Five Star Fonts is my go-to for quilt label fonts. I like the 1/4" fonts they have. Remember though, to get a smaller font to stitch out nice and clear you should use 60wt thread and a size 9 needle.

I use Sew What Pro software and TTF fonts that are readily available free on the internet because they are the same fonts used in word processing.

I make my labels on my epic and use the Husqvarna software Premier +2. The fonts come in all sizes. I think embroidery library has different sized fonts. I always forget the fine needle and 60 weight thread. I have been meaning to try that. My letters turn out pretty good, but who knows, could get even better!

Here are a couple of places that sell tiny fonts. Although you can use the resize option in your embroidery software, I find that if you want the really small versions it's best to purchase a font that is digitized to that small size:

As mentioned, don't use your usual 40wt embroidery thread, go with a 50 or 60. Also, be aware that although these are listed as fonts, they are actually individual embroidery designs, one for each letter. You need to have some embroidery software to pull the individual designs in. The first label takes the longest. Save it & just edit it for future labels.
