Embroidery machine help

I bought the Brother SE 400 so I could make labels mostly, but I can't get the letters small enough. I use the decrease button, but they are still larger than I want. Other designs are also very large. Can anyone help on this matter? Is there something wrong with this machine or any suggestions on how to get smaller patterns? All help appreciated!

I can only work from my knowledge with my Brother 4000D and hope they are simular. If your working with the built in font sets they default to the "large" size. To change the size you need to select your first letter and then using the
L-M-S selector, push and it will highlight the size you want. And if it's still too big with the small size of that font you'll need to select a differnet font, but understand they will all be generally the same sizes. Hope this helped. Mona

Call the Brother dealer where you bought the machine. Ask specifically how to get the smallest size. When you bought the machine did you have them demonstrate making a label for you? My dealer always has the answer to all of my questions. I hope your dealer is as helpful.

I have a LB 6800 which is the same exact machine and I bought a program called QuiltLabelWorks. If I remember correctly it didn't cost to much.
