Embroidery Machine

Good Morning ladies & gents i brought the Husvarna Viking Designer Se that came with the 4D Embroidery Extra system about 5 or 6 years ago since then I've had several computer crashes my question is can I use my Embroidery machine without the use of an embroidery system installed on a computer? I have an emb. stick can I just download designs from different sites then transfer them to my embroidery stick and then plug stick into my machine and then embroid. I know this must sound confusing but I'm not sure of explaining another way. Thanks for any and all help😌

I know what you mean!!! And if you don't have to convert it, then you should be able to do it no problem.

I know when I buy designs I buy the HUS version, but have to convert to the VP3 (I think that's what it is - I'm at work so can't check!)

If you have to convert, then you will need the software on your computer.

Fingers crossed you don't have to!

I have an SE and just download .HUS files to my thumb drive. Don't really need the software.

Once you buy the 4D you should be able to install it on another computer. You just have to have your dongle. You can even use someone else's copy of 4D and put it on your computer - it is the dongle that lets it work.

Actually if its the 4D organizer and not the full software there is no dongle. Vikings come with the organizer and it does alot. Go to mrpatience.com and he has lots of tutorials. Check to see what type you have
