I am fairly new to embroidery. I can do letters on quilts and lablels. I have a baby shower this weekend and thought I might try to embroider on a onesie. Some cute little saying.... Well I might have been tired or just not thinking, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to put the onesie on the hoop w/out having it on the bottom. The needle would end up going thru to the back. Plus it would cover where it attaches to the machine. Can someone help me figure this out?

Unsnap the bottom area, slide your hoop up and frame up the area you want to embroidery and latch the other hoop down. Then reach behind the hoop and bring up the back area by scrunching it up and in a wad to above the top of the hoop. Then embroidery...

I haven't tried to embroidery on a shirt for a while, but I messed mine up when I did. I was having issues with the machine, and it may or may not have been the machine. It could've been that I didn't use a water soluble stabilzer on top of the shirt. I haven't gotten to try it again to see, but that may help you...?
When you put the onesie/shirt in the hoop like others have stated above and pull the back up out of the way, you may want to pin it there out of the way of the needle to be sure. |
I pm'd you a great site that may be of help to you.
