Embroidery Question

My BFF machine embroidered the name of another friend's business for me on tulle. My question(s) are, what is the best way to attach the words onto cloth, and what products do I need to use so that they will be not lift or come off? I sure don't want to mess it up after all the trouble my GF went to for me! The words are 2" tall and there will be a line of about 30" long. I plan to make this a row in a row quilt.

Any and all suggestions/recommendations are appreciated. Feel free to PM me!

Are you planning on attaching the entire strip of tulle? If so, I wouldn't try to use a fusible, but would simply sew around each letter. A zipper foot would let you get very close to the embroidery. But maybe I am misunderstanding and you want to do individual letters?

You can't really cut the tulle too close to the letters because you run the risk of clipping some of the stitching and unraveling the embroidery. I would do as Prism suggested and leave the tulle on and stitch around the letters. Almost all tulle is synthetic with a low melting point. If the letters are wide enough and you can find a low temp fusible, you could try to put a small amount of fusible under the embroidery (test first), but you should still stitch around each letter. If you try this, you can only put the fusible under the embroidery, not under any of the open tulle. You also should find out the type of embroidery thread she used (poly? cotton? rayon?) and also what was in the bobbin. Most pre wound embroidery bobbins are poly so can't take a high heat iron. If you do something similar in the future, you should have your friend do the embroidery directly on the fabric you are going to use in the quilt.
