Has anyone ever used embroidery thread to Quilt with ?

I have a bunch of Isacord, so I am going to use it. The dealer where I bought my machine sells Isacord to quilt with.

I've used rayon embroidery thread for wallhangings. But any quilts that get a lot of use would do better with a polyester, embroidery, Isacord type. Rayon isn't colorfast in bleach and isn't as strong a fiber so it can fray and rub away. Someone made an embroidered vest that fell below her bottom and anywhere she sat or where it rubbed on things as she walked disintegrated over time:<

I've used silk-finish Mettler. Has a cotton core.

It's 100% cotton. I used to piece with it a lot. I've been disappointed with quality of Mettler over the last year and I'm not using it anymore. Way too much lint.
