I've recently purchased some paper templates (hexagon) to give English paper piecing a try, but I don't really care for all of the patterns I've been seeing online. Does anyone know where I can find more contemporary patterns for this type of quilting?

OH yes! Go to http://hexagonquilt-along.blogspot.com It's all about EPP with some wonderful ideas. There's a second hexagonquilt-along too. Look for the link on the first sight. You'll love this!

Thank you very much! I'd been thinking about using Batiks and there was just such a quilt on there and it was beautiful and gave me lots of ideas. Can't wait to get started.

I love the more contemporary patterns too. There are sites with free graph paper so you can design your own patterns too :D:D:D

I made a bunch of Hexie Coaster as Christmas gifts this year. Just had center and one row around. Put Felt on the back side and top stitched. Got lots of compliments. Fun quick handwork project for the evenings.
