Enlarging the Take 5 pattern

I've got two Take 5 patterns but of course I need a King size. Anyone have a clue how many more blocks I need to make? Actually have a Cal King but I can get it close enough with boarders because I have a footboard and sideboards. Thanks in advance.

Not familiar with that pattern but just multiply the size of block to fit what you need.

Right - multiply or divide size of block into size you want. I enlarged this particular pattern twice and came out fine. I am enlarging patterns all the time.

I use a spreadsheet to work out how many blocks I need.
So many blocks by so many blocks. Then add/remove to make it fit the size I want.
Don't forget to include the border if you're planning on one.

Most owners of Electric Quilt programs find it very easy to create a layout for a larger or smaller quilt ior actually enlarge or decrease the size of the block in a pattern.

Need to know the size of the Take 5 block in order to calculate how many additional blocks you would need for a king size. Do you know the size of the block?

I suggest you measure your bed, how long you want it to be, including the drape over the sides. Add to that, shrinkage. Every mattress has a different style thickness.

Then figure out how many block wide by long it will take to come up with your measurements. That's how I do it.

The Take Five pattern I have has 12 1/2 inch unfinished blocks. It is the original pattern, I think. I know there are books labeled Take Five, so I am not sure which pattern Karen has.
