EPP Make your own templates??
 

I bought a Fiskars hexie punch (1") and am very pleased with it - making colorful flowers.
Now, I want to 'graduate' to adding diamonds. Does anyone know of a punch that will cut 1" diamond templates? Lacking that, good places to buy the shapes, though I would prefer to cut my own.
What size diamond do I need to go with 1" hexies? (Degrees?)

I buy mine from Paper Pieces. They are worth the money to me and great to do business with.

Anytime I looked for punches, I couldn't find any that would cut through cardstock with much success.
So I have stayed old school .... cutting from old Christmas cards, advertising cards, etc.

With a plexi template and my rotary cutter, I can zip around them pretty fast,
Depending on the thickness of the cardstock, I can easily up to three layers at a time.

If you have a sizzix die cutter they have pattern block dies, one of which is a diamond. Acuquilt might also have a die that works. Failing that, look into inklingo online as they will allow you to rent the diamonds and cut them out.

It would appear you need 1 inch diamonds that have 60 degrees in the ends would be 120 degrees at the center. I didn't use diamonds, I used triangles.

I too use the Fiskars punches for EPP. I know that I have also found free template patterns that can be printed on card stock on the web. Good luck.

I found incomptech.com where you can print out shapes in the size you need. I use cover stock rather than card stock. It is a little thinner and can be sewed through. I prefer to glue baste my EPP. Good activity, cutting them, when you just need something simple to do.
