Are there any FREE EQ program downloads available? I would like to have one but cannot buy it due to low income. Thanks :)

I can't help you with free download info, but I can give you this tip; keep your eyes open at thrift stores. I picked up a brand new, still in the unopened box, EQ5 at my local Goodwill for $4.00. Check out yard sales and flea markets too. You can find some real treasures. Good Luck!

EQ5 is very inexpensive on Ebay and I see EQ5 and 6 for sale often on Sew It's for Sale and Quilter's Fleamarket groups for sale. Every so often type in Google search: EQ on sale. The most recent sales will be listed.

Forgot to say if you have a quilting friend, you can split the cost of EQ7 as it allowed to be on two computers at one time. Only two downloads can be active at one time per program.

Wow you were lucky :)

This might help those who can't afford it yet. I get their emails and offers every since I bought mine last yr and the one today has a version of FREE downloadable software to allow you to use some of their things. I'm not sure what all the limitations on it are but you can view and print patterns. You can't design but once you sign up you'll should be able to get more freebees. They even have a help section for you. Hope this will help get you started a little.

I don't know what your top-dollar budget is for EQ, but after months of shopping and searching for bargains, I was able to buy EQ7 at Eleanor Burns/Quilt in a Day for just under $100. Since then I have noticed that Burn's store sites periodically put EQ 7 on sale at a price "too low to be advertised." So, be patient and keep looking.

If you aren't able to find an EQ for a reasonable price, there is a program called "Quilt Design Wizard" for $29.95. I had one, and while it's not got near the capabilities of EQ, it's a fun place to start.

Oops, I just checked, and it's the first one mentioned in the post above.

www.Cosman ´is safe. It is a freeware called QuiltAssistant and is VERY nice. I've had it for years. It is mainly for designing and printing your own quilt blocks. Prints templated and draws +numbers paperpaper piecing blocks.Worth checking out.
