EQ question
I would like to know if anyone has EQ7 and or EQ Stitch on a Mac. My laptop crashed with mine and I am trying to decide to transfer it to my replacement laptop that has Windows 10 or my Mac Book Air. Are there any of you ladies with a recommendation?

I would contact the EQ help for that question. I thought the programs were totally different, so I don't think you can go straight to a PC from a MAC. Like I said, ask EQ http://electricquilt.com/Support/

I think Barb is right--if it was originally on a PC then think you have to stick with that.

Ask EQ. If you can show proof of ownership, they may be so kind as to send you the Mac version. A few years ago, my computer crashed and I discovered that my original EQ disc was cracked. I contacted them, they looked at their records, found me, and sent me a replacement disc, free of charge.
The worst that can happen is they say no. |
I also would suggest contacting tech support (located in Ohio). Just be sure you have registered your EQ and include the registration number in your email.

I was not very clear with my query. I do know how I have to get my EQ7 reinstated....I was just wondering whether to put it on the computer with Windows 10 or my Mac Book Air. I appreciate your responses.

You own both sets of software? One for Windows and one for Mac? Wow, that's a loyal customer! (unless, of course, you're running a virtual Windows machine on your Mac...)

I think the question is does anyone use EQ7 on a mac and how do they like it. I think the OP wants opinions about how well EQ works on a mac.

Hi there I believe that, if you own a PC version of the program, you can convert over to a Mac version for a small fee (as opposed to purchasing a whole new program). I'd imagine it works exactly the same on either platform, in the same way that other programs (eg photoshop) do, but bearing in mind that macs often process complicated tasks faster. Just to clarify, I don't have either version, but have been looking into both.... regards, K |
Ok I think I understand now... I need to go get my friend Cindi, I believe she's used EQ on both Windows and Mac. Be right back....
