EQ5 Question about printing

Is there a way to print the rotary cutting instructions in black and white even though I have colored the pieces? My printer default is set to grayscale because I rarely have color ink in my printer. I notice EQ5 bypasses my printer defaults and I can't see a way to tell it to print in grayscale. What will happen when my color ink runs out?

Thanks!!

Edited to change question.

Yes. When printing out the block , it will ask a box of questions. It will say black/white or outline and colored. Then change you printer to b/w instead of greyscale. My printer has a pop-up that will announce the ink is low.

Ah, I asked the wrong question!! My error. I've since corrected the original post.

I'm trying to print the rotary cutting instructions, not the block.

I did see the questions when I played around with printing the block.

Is there the option to print the rotary cutting instructions in black and white?

I kind of think I know what you need. I draw blocks in the EQ5 and then save the picture so that I can re-open it in paint. I write the sizes in each little section and print it out from there. On the left side of EQ there is a little camera. You can save it and name it, and then open that up in Paint. Then put the sizes where you want. When you print, it takes very little ink.

Let me know if this is not what you were talking about.

Thanks!

Well.....I guess that would work as a substitute. But the rotary cutting layout already has everything I need to know on the one page. Plus it tells me how many of each piece I will need to cut.

I just want to be able to print it when my color ink runs out. Perhaps it will automatically switch to black and white when that happens? IDK. I just got EQ5 so I'm learning.

I wonder if the owner's manual for your printer will say something about it. Good luck.

Thanks again Boston. My printer is already set up to only print in grayscale. When I print any other document, I get a screen that comes from my printer and allows me to change the color if I want. But the default is grayscale. With EQ5 I don't get the screen from my printer, it seems to bypass my printer completely and just goes straight out to print. I searched the EQ5 manual and didn't find any reference to this issue.
