Okay, so hubby got me this wonderful software programme called the EQ5, current version is 7 but I wanted to start slow, I'm lucky I can even turn the danged computer on I'm so computer challenged!
I LOVE this product! I'm designing quilts like crazy! Now, to actually MAKE them ... :? Anyone else have or use this software? |
I have EQ6 and waiting on EQ7. Its really a lot of fun isn't it!!
Were you aware that EQ is having a pre-order sale. The new full EQ7 is $142 and the upgrade from EQ6 is $58. This offer is good only this month though. |
I have EQ6 and am still debating on the upgrade to 7 LOL
I love it and just designed a new quilt with it today :D:D:D I think the upgrade from EQ5 to 7 is a little more spendy than $58, but you can check it out on their website :D:D:D |

I have had EQ5 for 3 yrs and I love love love it!! I used it to do the pictures in the last tutorial I posted. Except for the HSTs part it was all EQ5 pics! I have scads of EQ files and I would really hate to lose all my designs!!
I know you will love it too! I was thinking about the upgrade but not sure I should spend the money. My EQ5 does everything I need for the most part. There are a few things I would like to see added to my EQ but nothing I can't manage without. |
Rhonda, cool! I was thinking of signing up for some of your tutorials next month and the reason I'm not upgrading yet is b/c that's quilting money! I'm good w/the version 5 for now, just got it so I have to learn a LOT!
What are HSTs? |
Oh yeah.....I started with EQ5 and thats all I used until very recently...I did upgrade to EQ6, haven't had time to learn it yet and bought the sale price update to EQ7....you will have a ball and yes...its great fun!!! Now to just tear yourself away from the computer to actually sew some of those designs!!!

Thanks for the compliment but everyone has to start somewhere Bridgette! I started because I was bored with three little ones at home and I was a stay at home wife. I was tired of 4 walls and nothing to do but watch tv and read. My DHs comment at the time was you have three kids to talk to! Yeah right! They were 3 4 and 5 at the time! Some scintallating conversations!! LOL So I decided to learn to quilt. i got a book through the mail and watched tv quilt shows. Otherwise it was trial and error. It is now my passion in life after my grands!!! LOL My efforts in the first few years weren't all that great! I cringe now thinking that the things I made back then probably fell apart!! LOL

You are so welcome, Rhonda. LOL! I remember those "scintillating conversations", they went something like, *singing* "I love you, you love me .... " Well, I for one am glad you started. Mahalo (thank you) for your contributions, I learn a LOT here and mostly the friendliness helps so much!
