Or is it a good idea to get the EQ6 Simplified book? Are there other books or software you would recommend to go along with EQ6? I am wondering about the applique drawing book, etc.

I have to admit that I don't have a lot of patience for learning new software, although I'm fairly well educated in software usage. So, I'm looking for a really easy way to get started with EQ6.

I find that for what I do, EQ6 and it's manual is enough. I would suggest to buy that and then if you find that you need additional software or books, look into it at that point. JMHO

I too just bought EQ6, and I find that using the software and the manual that came with it are enough for me for the present. You can always add the other items later.

I second that - the manual that comes is quite comprehensive, with lessons that graduate - try not to skip one, as each lesson is designed to take you through a new step or two.

The other books can come later, when you want to branch out further, and you certainly don't need them to get started, but they would be nice for perhaps future birthday presents.

The software has learning videos that have really helped me. I don't see any need for additional books.

The software and the manual were plenty for me.

Looks like it's unanimous! Thanks, everyone. Now I just have to work up the nerve to order it.....

I have to agree with everyone that posted before me...
I just bought EQ6 and the manual that comes with it.
It has some great lessons and their email list is great as well...
I haven't used it as near as much as I would have liked this past year but it is a great program...
