EQ7 question
I have EQ7, however, my computer died. The computer I just bought does not have a disk drive (dvd player). Is there a way to download the program online using my license ID and Password?
Thanks. |
You can copy it to a thumb drive and then use that to install. http://support.electricquilt.com/Ins...drive-EQ7.ashx

good idea. that should work. if not, contact that company and they should be able to help you.
|
You'll need to call anyway, to have them manually deregister the program from your dead computer.
|
The EQ Company will be very helpful if you have your #. Good luck.

Thank you to everyone for their input. I knew I came to the right place. 😉

An external disk drive doesn't cost much and will be very useful. I also chose to get a laptop without a disk drive, since I really don't use discs often. I think mine was less than $50.

you can buy an external CD drive for pretty reasonable price

last year I bought an external hard drive and backed-up everything from my computer, which then died. With most of my purchased programs I just copied and pasted to the new comp. and they worked fine. Now I save everything to the ext drive, and I can also use it with the laptop when traveling. It's great, but I do wonder how long before it crashes.

Yes, as other have said, call them and they will help you. I did that awhile ago and they help me reinstall on a new computer.

I got my external hard drive from Staples, betw $20-$30.

The posts above are talking about an external dvd drive.
