I got my copy of EQ7 in the mail today and would you believe me if I told you I don't want it now? I just don't see that I need it right now. I am going to load it ... or attempt to load it ... and take a look but I don't expect to change my mind. I will most likely send it back to the company and get my money back unless someone here wants to buy it from me for what I paid for it which was $152 (includes shiipping and handlding).

Why don't you want it ?

I haven't loaded mine , but I am still excited to have it .

Maybe give it a day or two before you decide what to do

If you open it and install it to look at it, they most likely won't take it back. I know most places won't take back open software.

If you open it they will not take it back. You can call their customer service and ask but it is just like video games and DVD's. Once you open it, it is yours.

Ditto what everyone says...don't load it or open the package. Return it as is, unopened.

ReRe 06-11-2010 11:24 AM

I just talked to them and they'll take it back as is and charge me a 10% restocking fee. I also have someone inquire about via PM so maybe i can sell it to someone that wants it.

My sister got hers today also. She just called and begged me to come over and try it. I have to be in a certain frame of mind to play on that.

I'm waiting on pins and needles for my copy to arrive. But it takes awhile to reach me here in Switzerland :-)

Sorry to hear you don't want it any more. Are there others who have installed it and tried it? What do you think?

BellaBoo 06-11-2010 05:25 PM

I got mine and it is so nice. It's easier to use then of the EQ programs I have had. It installed with no problem. I expect quilt patterns to go up in price and/or no quilt pictures will be allowed to be posted much. With the photo feature it's 123 to trace any block pattern or appliqué design. I can't believe how easy it is. I've been playing with it all day just in photo. I downloaded all the fabric from Connecting Threads in to the library. Just about every fabric line has an EQ download, if it isn't already in the library. And you can take any fabric from a photo and add it to the library. Neat O !!!!

Mine should be arriving tomorrow :D:D:D I am so excited to get it LOL

I am sorry that you aren't happy with it...

It's amazing how many of you ahve ordered it lately. Is this a new big thing? I tend to avoid computerprograms. I still use the old graph and drafting paper and colored pencils. SOmewhere on line you can print the patterns for free and color them in like you want it to look. Guess I will stick to the old fashioned way. If I did get one I would be on it all day like I have been on here lately. I have to get back to quilting at least 6 hours a day. Good therapy. GOod luck selling it ReRe. SOunds like you already have intersts.

I asked my aunt if she wanted my EQ6 because I still have two downloads left. She told me she had no interest in it. I guess it isn't for everyone. As for myself, I cannot wait. I got notice that my card was charged and it was shipped. Glad I have time this summer to play with it! I am SOOOOO excited.

Boscobd 06-11-2010 08:12 PM

I received mine the other day and am having a ball with it. I had never used any EQ before and had decide that I was a graph paper and pencil kind-of quilter. But, after reading posts about EQ, I decided to try it. I love it - it is so easy to use. I have set aside a little time every evening to "play".

BellaBoo 06-11-2010 08:13 PM

I had EQ from the time it was on floppy disc and ran on MS DOS. It saves me time by figuring the math and I can click to change fabrics instead of pulling them off my shelf or know which fabric I need to buy. It has saved me the cost of the programs several times over. I know it's not for everyone but I'm sure glad I like it.

ReRe 06-11-2010 08:26 PM

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I found a buyer for my EQ7 program so am now a happy camper except for the fee charged by paypal. We were both bit by the fee and neither one of us are happy about it. At least the program found a new home and will be on it's way on Monday morning to it's new mommy.

pam1966 06-11-2010 08:30 PM

I barely use my EQ 6 because I don't have the time.
