I'm considering purchasing EQ7. I'm wondering what you like about it. What don't you like? How difficult is it to learn to use it? What are some of your favorite features? I'm willing to be convinced one way or the other.

I love to paper piece, I can increase my block size by a 1/2" with a couple of clicks of my mouse and have perfect templates. Much less fabric waste

I love being able to change a pattern to suit MY piecing preferences. I can eliminate those dreaded Y seams very easily.

I can change the size of blocks/quilts/borders accurately using EQ.

Even if you don't want to put out the money for EQ7, EQ5 does a LOT and you can get your feet wet on that one for much less money. Ebay sells them very reasonably, and unlike EQ6, you can download them to your computers as many times as you need :D:D:D

along those lines, even tho I have problems with the "EQ call home" stuff, what with all the aggravation going on with copyright police, and designers scaring people to death to even make a quilt let alone sell it, EQ is a FANTASTIC way to get a gazillion quilt blocks COPYRIGHT FREE, and a fabulous way to design your own quilts that you can do with what YOU want...

(bear in mind, that applies to the copyright free quilt blocks and layouts)
