There is a video on Vimeo called The EverSewn Sparrow 20. It appears that the designer of the machine worked for Bernina.

I believe it's HandiQuilter's new domestic machine. They (HandiQuilter) do have some former Bernina engineers on their team.

I went to Quilt In A Day in San Marcos this morning - they sell these machines. I asked if they knew who designed it and if it was related to Bernina and the sales lady did not know. She offered to let me try it, but I declined since I had no intention of buying it. They appeared to be well made, but I couldn't see inside it. I thought it was a pretty strong endorsement for QIAD have them for sale in the shop.

Hmmm... Looking at it it bears a striking resemblance to the Pfaff Passports and their new entry level embroidery machine Creative 1.5. Also, if you compare the websites the design and fonts are the same on Pfaff and Sparrow sites.

I agree with other posters, I would go to a dealer, maybe they'll have a trade in on a higher end machine for a great price, plus, usually you buy a machine from a dealer, you get lessons on what that machine will/can do and you get lessons on getting to know the machine.
