Is it ever too hot to quilt?

Some one told me the other day that it was too hot to quilt. Now, if you were going to be crawled up under the thing, I could see where that might pose a problem if you didn't have air conditioning. But, to just sit down at the sewing machine or sit in a chair with a needle and thread..... I don't see the reasoning. I have been in a slump before and just didn't fell like it. Am I missing something? I could quilt just about any time or any season. How about you guys? What do you think?

Me too. All year round. I have heard someone say it was too hot, but she was hand quilting a queen size.

I usually only find it too hot if I am handsewing the binding while I have the quilt in my lap. Other than that, I'm fine. I usually have the AC and ceiling fans on.

I always have some quilting going regardless. It hit 95f here today. However I do have a/c where many here in tbe northwest do not.

For me, it is too hot in the afternoons. The sewing room has windows on the west side and by afternoon, it is better for me to just close the door to that room and work somewhere else. I cut using the dining room table, so that is ok. I do hand work in the evening while watching TV, so that continues.

If I didn't have air conditioning, I would consider it too hot to HAND quilt a quilt. Sitting at my machine is comfortable with the air on.

It is unbearable warm in my sewing room that has no air conditioning. Quilting is on hold until things cool down. I only venture up there if I have a small sewing project and limit my time. Heat is one of my migraine triggers.

I don't see how it is too hot to quilt if you have AC and want to quilt.

Never to hot for me. I am sidelined right now because of spine surgery 10 days ago and I am already getting antsy.

It is too hot to do anything outside, so why not put the AC to good use quilting....
