You are all amazingly talented artists and engineers. Just wanted to say. I'm stunned by the level of skill you all have on display. I only hope some day I can be half as good.

Hi Lisalisa!!! We were all in your shoes at one time...over time and with lots of experience you develop your skills. Don't ever be afraid to ask for help or any questions here. All of us encourage new quilters and are happy to offer suggestions, instructions, etc.

Take some time to get to know what's on this board. There's a SEARCH feature above where you can find many many discussions on any quilting topic you can think of.

Have fun!! And we welcome new quilters with open arms!!

Janice

Welcome! I am just getting back into quilting after a 20-year absence. Every day I learn something new and exciting here. Enjoy!

Hi Lisalisa from So.California and welcome to the quilting board. I would say from the avatar picture that your quilting skills are right up there with many of us. Perhaps you could show a larger view of said quilt. It looks really cute.

I certainly agree with that. Welcome from Chattanooga from a new quilter!

Hello and welcome....from Perth, Western Australia. You will be amazed at how much you will absorb and learn from this site. The people are so generous with their time and passing on skills. Being able to see the stunning creations is so good...it's like having a personal quilt show every time you check in. :)

Welcome from sunny Florida! I hope we'll soon be seeing some of your creations right along side ours! If you run into trouble, these folks are fantastic! All we have to do is ask & someone will have or find an answer.

Well, the pictures are small and so our imperfections don't show up. Most of my things look far better on here than they do in person. We all make mistakes in everything we do. If you ever meet a quilter that says that they can make a perfect quilt stay away from them. If they'll lie about that they'll lie about other things too. LOL I'm sure your things look just fine. If you run into problems or have a question, just ask. People here are great help. Just remember that quilting isn't rocket science and you can do anything you set your mind to do.
