Just a thought. Couldn't you quilt them separately then sew them together and bind or maybe even birth them? For reversible wallhangings this is what I do. My batting is thin so the two layers together are fine and the quilt is not washed as frequently as a bed quilt would be. Nice job on both. I really like the waves on your backing.

Quilting on the front will only enhance the back. Go for it. It's gorgeous!

I think that is a great idea! Your quilt is beautiful....and the back will be too. Don't worry about how the quilting will look on the back, just worry about the front. The back will end up looking just fine. And don't rule out SITD. That is how I quilt all of my Bargello quilts.

Both are too pretty to just be the back, I like the reversible idea from skhf in previous post.
