We lost a wonderful quilt shop near us just before Christmas too. It is sad to see them go! Stock up at their sale! I hope you have another one fairly close by! As I recall, Grand Junction isn't a huge town. Best of luck!

Hope it's not a epidemic. So sad.

OMG - I wish I lived in Colorado - but driving from FL is just a little too far with gas prices - do they have an online store?
http://hifashionfabrics.com/fashiongoods.html That is a big store - but doesn't look like you can buy from them online |
So sad to hear of another LQS closing. I really try to support my LQS by taking classes and buying from them all the time. My birthday and Christmas money usually goes to them. I would be broken hearted if they closed. Enjoy the sales.

i live in a small town too. she seems to get
a lot of people from the surronding area. it sure would be sad if she closed. i buy 75 percent of my fabric from her to try and keep her in business. |
A LQS closing is a sad way to start the New Year. Be sure to stop in Quilting Hands if you are ever in Lyons,- -that may help ease the pain a little.

Our local QS closed in Nov. It has been so sad. Our gathering place is gone and some of us never see one another now. I miss everyone so much and the friendships that we shared. Our shop had been in business 40 years. A few of the ladies got together and found a place where we can get together the 2nd Sat of every month and sew all day and have a pitch in. I am so looking forward to it. Its so easy to take our LQS for granted and think they will always be there. I feel your pain.
