Fabric For Bow Tuck?

I have made a Bow Tuck, but would like to know what is the best fabric to use that keeps a true Bow Tuck form to it. I hope I make sense.

Thanks

I have made several bow tuck bags and I just use cotton fabric. I was thinking of getting some corduroy fabric and trying that.

I've just used cotton fabric. If you want it to hold its shape better, maybe use a stiffer interfacing?

I have only used cotton fabric so not much help. Mine seem to hold their shape. Happy quilting :)

I use regular cotton with fusible fleece. Works just fine.

If you use the recommened iron on interfacing it holds its shape. That's the main thing I like about this bag, it's stabiliy. I made a smaller bag according to the directions and if I put anything in it the bottom sags.

Home Dec fabric works well as it has more body so I use it on most of my bags now.

I like Home Dec fabric for any tote . It is a stiffer fabric and holds shape/form much better. I still use an interfacing for added body.

While I have not made Bow Tucks, I have made other hand bags from decorator fabrics. Decorator fabrics have a heavier body and the colors are usually so pretty and vibrant. I have several fabric sample books that were given to me that I use all the time for hand bags. Iron on interfacing would give more body to the project also.

When you talk about interfacing, are you talking about the pylon that irons to it? That is what I used on my first bow tuck.
