I washed my fabric and put in dryer, when I took it out the drum of my dryer had the blue color on it and I don't know how to get it off. Has this happened to anyone else?

b.zang 12-03-2009 07:54 PM

Yes. It seems to only happen with blue. I have never noticed anything else picking up the colour, and my dryer just continues to sport a fancy interior.

Mine too, but it is just around the inside rim. Doesn't seem to rub off on anything else. :)

I believe that once you get those stains, they are permanent.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 12-03-2009 09:06 PM

Yep, my dryer is blue, too.

Next time, try using a color grabber cloth.

You could try using hairspray. I got ink on the inside of my dryer, once, and nothing got it off until I tried the hairspray. That worked instantly.

I'd be afraid I wouldn't get it all wiped off and my next batch of clothes would have bleach fades.

Dry a load of not new towels. What color, if any, will go on the towels and not be noticeable.

Mine is blue too. Mine came of jeans. It has been on there now for 5 years, happened the year we bought our new washer and dryer.

Have you tried Mr clean eraser or degreaser type cleaner I would think also if it is a stainless steel tub you could use that stuff to clean like silverware or use wadding cloth (by the way that stuff works great to get melted velcro off the bottom of a iron jsut ask how I knwo)

Mine is that same beautiful blue color. It doesn't rub off so I don't worry about it.

butterflywing 12-06-2009 12:28 PM

I got some unknown stains in my dryer once, but nothing
on the clothes. I got the stains out with 91% rubbing
alcohol and then damp wiped the alcohol off. Came out
right away.
