Fabric color question
 

I want to order online some cotton to make applique gingerbread men on pillows. Does anyone know of a fabric color close to the color of gingerbread? I have been searching online and am afraid I will buy something that is not even close. Has anyone purchased fabric in this color that can guide me to it?

Of course, the color of a gingerbread man will vary depending on ingredients. Two colors that look right to me are Kona 1386 Wheat or 1162 Honey. Another choice would be 1473 biscuit or 1017 bison. They are a little darker, but tend more to the yellow side.

(Yeah! I finally got to use that color chart I bought at the quilt show.)

It's great to realize we didn't spend foolishly - yet again. I make purchases like that and they just get buried under a pile of fabric. [sigh]

i've used my kona color card chart too many times to count. I love mine, and the kona cotton that i have purchased from that card

Thanks for that. I will make some small notations in my color chart as to which ones are good for Gingerbread men. Someone gave me some gingerbread flavoring. Sounds like there is a batch of men in my future.
