Is it a good source for fabric? I found a backing material I'd like to use, but am concerned about shrinkage as well as color bleed. Having never ordered fabric on line before, I'm hesitant to spend this much money for junk. Any info would be appreciated.

great fabric, great customer service, fast shipping which is free over $35.00.
I highly recommend them....... |
I have ordered from them several times and have always been very satisfied with both their products and their service. I do tend to order fabrics by the manufacturers that I am familiar with, but I have even ordered their fabric by the pound to add some misc. to my stash and was happy with it as well.

I've bought from them many, many times. Never once disappointed, and they ship VERY fast. :)
Don't forget to check the retailmenot website for a coupon code before checking out. You can almost always get 10-15% off. I love their remnant packages! They always have good stuff in them, and they're good-sized pieces too. |
Teri,
I have bought from them and its quilt shop fabric. |
I have purchased quite a bit from them I love them!

Very pleased every time I order from them!

i have been shopping with them for over 10 years-
i do recommend pre=washing- i recently ordered a batik wide (backing) the shrinkage was about 4" (ordered 3yds; 108" after washing it's just over 104" it also really dyed my color catchers... i do expect this from any batik's or hand dyes- but if you are not expecting it... i am not a (faithful) pre-washer; but always batik's, hand dyes, reds, blacks -- or any fabric i think might bleed- and flannels or home spuns for the shrinkage. |
Sounds like Fabric.com is a go.

One of my favorite sources - just got a bunch of new Civil War fabrics today - one piece is 3½ yards of 108" wide backing - wasn't crazy about the color, but I couldn't resist the price and since it appears that I've gone insane for CW reproductions, I know that it will be used. :)

I love this shop also BUT did receive some yucky red white and blue.
There was no name on the fabric like Moda, Timeless Treasures, etc. I do not buy it unless it has the name of a manufacturer I recognize. The fabric was VERY stiff. I donated it to a group to make bags. I would not have put this into a quilt. |
Too bad we can't use QB membership to receive a discount.

If you sign up for their email newsletters, you will get discount and promo codes about once a week.
They usually put their promos on the front page of their site, too so if you just check every few days, you probably won't miss a sale or discount code. :) |
