My quild is having their annual challenge and that is to make a project utilizing folded fabric. I am lacking in ideas and prairie points as a border doesn't count. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think there's something called 'fabrigami' - Gaigai used it for a border in the IRR here on the board.

3 D flowers? i.e. orgami - I think there have been several Japanese books published on the subject, and I'm sure I have seen a few magazine articles at various times.

If you want to buy a book there are many good ones how to fold fabric shapes for quilts.

I have two books: Fantastic Fabric Folding, and Fabrigami, that have beautiful stuff in them. I got mine on ebay, but you can find them on Amazon too. Good luck!

Try Googling Quilt Fabric Folding, and you'll get some websites.

Fons and Porter had a show awhile ago and they folded the fabric on the curves (paper piecing) to make the leaves it was pretty cool. And I'm thinking you could do that with any paper piecing it doesn't have to be on a curve.

There was a quilt a while back with 3D flowers. Would that count.
