Fabric help
So what is your experiences with this type of fabric? I'm looking for that for a bed and is a 100% cotton
1) Kona pimatex solids and does any one know about the thread count that would be super. 2) kona solids or any other ones that are soft and cuddly. thanks |
for really soft cotton I use Egyptian Cotton
|
Moda's bella solids are wonderful. I use them all the time, you can even get some of the 1930's colors in them.
|
What do you want to use them for?
|
Im using them for pillowcases
|
i like batiks for pillow cases- our normal quilting cottons have a thread count of about 60---nothing close to the hundreds used for sheets/pillowcases in stores-
for soft i go with flannel- for regular cotton i go for batiks- which can have 100+ thread count. pretty much any 100% cotton will soften & just get (cozier) with each laundering- it is the nature of the cotton fibers- poly blends do not soften with age- they stay the same as they are in the beginning. i love muslins when i want something that is going to be wonderfully soft after laundering- and they dye beautifully too- i often will pick up a bolt of bleached muslin then dye it to match quilts/projects i want to accessorize |
So muslins would make nice pillowcase and would it look like regular cotton? I did find this fabric at joanns Roc-Lon 100% Cotton
Unbleached Muslin 45"? have you ever heard of it. thanks |
I did try the muslin and so far it ok. But why does it have little black specs
|
Roc-Lon 100% Cotton I think this is for lining curtains.
