I comb the local Goodwills often. I am finding some really nice fabric on scrubs. They are cheerful, unique, and usually 100% cotton. I try to go for the non-faded, larger sizes to get the most fabric I can for the bucks! Just a budget-friendly idea!

That IS a great idea! I have seen some of the CUTEST scrubs, our vet ladies always have adorable ones!

I have goodwill withdraw, I haven't been in a long time, need to go!

I remember someone on the board made and entire quilt out of a family member's scrubs. It was very cute and colourful.

I'm semi-retired. I can't wait to turn all my scrubs into quilts!!! Great idea by the way-the fabric is sturdy cotton and really does come in some neat patterns. One more reason to count the days til full retirement (oh about 5 more yrs!!)

I've been scavanging Goodwill, Salvation Army, garage sales and estate sales for 100% cotton clothing in good shape. I've also recently realized that I can use woven belts for tote bag handles. Those are usually really cheap everywhere. I just take them apart and roll them up for later use.

What a great idea for those belts that I'll never fit into again!!

I, too, scour the thrift stors and have found great fabrics, both yard goods and cotton clothing. LOVE Senior Discount day: Mon. for Unique, Tues. for ARC and Wed. for Savers. Once in a while our ARC stores have clothing for 99 cents on a Saturday - that's when I 'stock up', especially on the cute scrubs. Recycling at it's finest!

Scrubs also make really cute aprons for little girls!
