Last night I was on Kijiji and looking for sewing and fabric items.
Well, I hit the Jackpot! Sadly, a lady is closing her business to retire. I stopped in her store this morning and everything was on sale at deep discount prices. I got: 3 meters of fleece (yellow with flowers) 2 meters of lady bug fabric (dark blue with bugs) 1 meter of a vine print (pale blue with green vines) And the best for last 50 meters - a brand new bolt of white cotton/poly blend!!!! :-D I do have a birthday coming up after she closes the doors but I'm keeping my fingers crossed the DH will have pity on me. He was going to get me a gift certificate for the LQS...think I'd like to go back there instead! Question: Is it normal to get a rush after a buy like that?! I normally detest shopping. Ayla |
Well done! Yes, you should feel a rush! LOL
|
Rush on!! I think that is normal. Only wish I could run across a rush, score, or other incredible deal. Great job! Very sorry for the store owner though. That must be heartbreaking for her.

Yes, the rush to get to the store and the rush while shopping and the rush to get it all home to play with it!!
What a great deal you have found :D:D:D |
The rush is normal. It's in our genes!

Just thinking about going shopping for fabric makes my heart skip a beat and my hands shake. So yes I think the rush is normal.
|
Thank You! Really want to go back before she closes....

If you don't get a rush over that, someone needs to check for a pulse.

Awesome deals. Where abouts in Ontario? I wonder if it's close to me.

There is shopping and then ....there is shopping. Fabrics make the difference.

(It was a church group and they asked for donations from people at church.) Most of it was not the highest quality, but all of it usable. I sudivided it into solids and prints--one suitcase each, to take it upstairs to try to find places for it in my sewing room. They know I do a lot of charity quilts and I was thankful. Of course, included in that was some I bought on ebay and had send to them or bought here and had a couple of ladies send them fabric to bring to me. It was better than Christmas! |
