What should I type in a search bar to find it? No luck so far. Joannes has a light/white one, but I'd like it to be darker than that. Maybe they'll get more in, but I thought I'd search about.

Jerri! How did you find that?? Thank you!!
I bought it!! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Ooooo--I'm very excited about this pattern I found... but it's forcing me from my comfort zone. I have to use items I've never used before. I'm making a few of them--and since my friend Angie reads the forum sometimes, I can't say more.

MamaBear - that is a fabulous site and the prices aren't bad either! Put it in my favorites.

Check out this place.

I've not ordered from them, nor been there yet, but they have some realistic fabrics.

What a great place this forum is! Seems like no matter what the question, someone has an answer!

barnbum 01-01-2010 07:43 AM

I agree, cande!! I searched for 20 min this morning and couldn't find a thing. I came here and had it ordered within 15 minutes and for $2.97 a yard!! For that price I'll back the projects with it too! There was free shipping if $50 is spent, and with all I've purchased lately, I didn't go there, and that cost was only $4. :-D

Ooo--The Hayloft--I love the sound of that store name!

Karla, I order from Hayloft and am well pleased with everything I've received. Look under Landscape fabrics. I make lots of pictoral, landscape, art quilts, etc.

Another place to order landscape fabric is from Cynthia England's website. But, I don't remember if you can order yardage or just packs.

Have fun looking

"faux bois" is a helpful phrase. I use a fabric from Joel Dewberry. I like it because it's available in hot pink. :0D

Edit: I've also used that Connecting Threads fabric in pillowcases. Doesn't look realistic but definitely says "wood."

These are all some awesome resources :D:D:D

The Louisa line by Moda has some wood looking fabric. I just made a throw with the charm packs.

Moda will be reprinting some of their Modascapes fabrics in April. These were some of their "classic" prints that they offered in the past. (Except for their basics, Moda usually just does one printing, sells it out, and that's the end of it.)

There will be three colors of woodgrain prints and three colors of log prints. Ummm... I think that the colorways are equally nice, so if any readers would like to chime in and give an opinion on which ones are the best colors, I'd appreciate the advice, as I need to make up my mind and place my order!

And thank you, MamaBear61, Beachlady and 2 Much Fabric for mentioning Favorite Fabrics! Referrals are always a wonderful thing and much appreciated.
