I ordered 11 yard of various fabrics from them and am pleased with it. I especially like the 108 " backing @7.99 a yard.

It was nice fabric, washed well and I saw the same fabric elsewhere online for $8.99. I keep checking, but I haven't found any more bargains like that. Someone on the quilting board tipped me off to that sale.

Specials like that are in house too. And if you ask nice enough, sometimes the manager will make the fabric you fall in love with a manager's special.

I was there thursday and got over 700 yards of fabric. It seems to be nice quality. I would buy more.

Anything I have ordered on line had been good quality and so many colors and prices I can afford on SS.

Okay, now you've done it. I just ordered five yards of backing material.

I'm so easily influenced! ;)

I ordered from them only once. The fabric was very poor quality. I was very disappointed.

Thanks for the info. I keep going onto their website, looking at the blenders. Name brands and great selection. An order is probably in my future. Wish I could actually visit the store but Oregon is a long way away.

I love Marshall's. A group of my Project Linus ladies and myself head down there about 3 times a year. It is well worth the trip and you can buy wholesale. My favorite item they have are the $1 tables where various flawed fabrics are for $1 a yard. Some of the flaws are very noticeable, others are so small that it isn't found or pointed out till time to measure and cut yardage. I have been to very nice quilt shops and have found bolts marked 'Marshall Dry Goods' at the top. Of course the fabric usually runs $2.99-$3.99 a yard that has been marked up to $10.99. I like to buy their 60" wide cotton for backing. If there is a fabric heaven, this is as close as it gets. The reason they can sell so cheaply is they buy close-outs and end of run bolts. I have also purchased Warm and Natural batting -120" wide for $9.99 a yard, they sell rolls of batting well worth the money. After shopping, we then head to Josie's Steak House located on the White River. Great food and scenic view of the river.
