My best friend and I have laughed for years while fabric shopping about "building our stash for our retirement", because of the fixed income thing. Well, my retirement date is 3/30/12 so this was my last large blow out for quite some time. Feel I spent my $$ well, by buying tan and cream blenders, if I were to rationalize the whole blitz :0). I have a little notebook, a bucket list" of sorts with actual quilts I want to make and quilting ideas in general. Instead maybe the entire spring will be spent on my porch, sipping ice tea and listening to the robins come back north.

I, too, can not wait 4 months. I can hardly wait a day when I have the urge to splurge!
|
Wow.......4 months! You're my heroine (she said with envy).
|
Wow! can you post a photo when it arrives for the rest of us to "drool" over? I don't know how you made it that long without buying. I seem to get at least something every month-DARN Joann's for sending these flyers and the coupons! However, I justify it by saying I will clear out stash and sell it. Which I do! It gets easier each time I part with stash I know I will never use (but HAD to have at the time!).

I can tell we're related. <G>

Can't wait to see what you do with it! This is a good sign that you're coming out of cabin fever. Good for you.

Your title cracked me up. November was last yea so good for you. You got great bargains so enjoy.
|
I am doing well on my pledge to not buy unless absolutely needed for a project. Nothing for February! Yippee. I will have to get thread soon but ....Back to more scrappy quilts for the next few months or ... years.

You did well. No fabric purchases since November---Amazing willpower! LOL

Fabric buying is a necessity. One of the basic rights of quilters and why wasn't that in the constitution?
