Fabric shopping in Buenos Aires

I have 1 day <today> for shopping in Buenos Aires. I know there are many talented quilters in Argentina... where do they shop for fabric and quilting supplies? I know most fabrics here are imported but I would love to check it out anyway! Any suggestions?

You can search for board members by location.
At the top of this page, right under the "d" in the script Quilting Board logo,
click on the "Member List' hotspot
When the member list comes up,.
Under the W X Y Z, click the "Search Members" dropdown and select "Advanced Search"
In the location box, type in your desired location (I put in Argentina) and click the "Search Now" button.
A list of members from that location will come up with their join date & # of posts. I would pick one or two folks who post a lot and send them a PM. Even if they haven't posted recently, the message should go to their email.
You could also repeat the location search for Buenos Aires.
Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

Have you checked with the concierge desk at your destination or the chamber of commerce? They would be aware of the local stores and shops. I know when I was going on vacation, I just googled the town and a ton of information can be found on their on line site.

I googled it and it seems there is a fabric district in buenos aires.

Thanks for the search tips. I did find 'the' district for notions and fabrics but only purchased some pretty laces.... no quilting fabrics except for 1 shop that had a selection of 'walmart' quality cottons! Traveling to Brazil next.....
