I would like to store my fabrics on shelves as if it were on bolts. Are there any ideas of ways I could do this that would be safe for the fabric and inexpensive?

Buy comic book boards at your local comic book store or online. They are usually 100 for about $10. They are acid free. Put 2 together and wrap the fabric around.

this post yesterday showed a wonderful and reasonable way to store fabric. I ordered some on AMazon http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-105907-1.htm

I fold mine WOF and fold again down the center, then roll it on a cutting ruler . When it is folded then remove the ruler. Works great for me and it is free.

$14.95 per sheet. These let you store your material like they do in JoAnne's by bolt. I bookmarked the site. http://www.shop.thefabricorganizer.com/ Hope you like it. |

I use comic book boards and here's what mine came out looking like:

Whoa do you make outcalls?? I'm working on mine, but they aren't as neat as yours!

I just spent a few hours (okay, maybe more than a "few") refolding my fabric so it's uniform in size. It makes a huge difference in how the shelves look, as well as in how well I can see the fabrics. An additional benefit was that I got to handle all that fabric again, reminding me what I have, and forcing me to realize that I really do NOT need more.

Love the pictures and your organization. I'd like to know where you found the shelving that holds the folder pieces. (I just joined this group and found this wonderful way to organize fabrics which I decided to do. Just ordered some comic boards to start folding.) how long did it take to fold all your fabric?
