Can anyone tell me the name and address of a big fabric outlet in Batesville, Arkansas? My neighbor has heard it is great and would like more information. Thanks so much.

Arla,
Several of the ladies from our Project Linus group travel there about 3 times a year. The fabric prices are very reasonable, even downright inexpensive (I'm trying not to use the word cheap), they have everything imaginable. It is a great day trip. You can go down using 65 and make a nice quilt shop hop day out of it, or you can go down 60 east thru West Plain, Thayer, and come into Batesville that way. It is worth the trip, they take checks, cash, debit and credit cards. The staff is so helpful and you will love the $1 table. There is fabric that is flawed, sometimes big, sometimes little and only $1 a yard, you can take all or some. You will find fabrics that the LQS carry and wonder why they mark it up so much.

Great place to buy wide backings and blenders. Just be sure to allow yourself plenty of time!

they sell on ebay too...just KNOW your fabric...they sell seconds, which is why you will recognize famous names...sometimes it might just be a run that was printed in the wrong color..sometimes there are design flaws, or fabric flaws...

just know your needs and be careful of melting plastic...ehhehe

If you decide to come to Batesville and go to Marshall's Dry Good send me a PM and I will meet you there and treat you to lunch. I live in Batesville, and I spend way too much time in Marshall's. It was here when I was a child and I am 62. It is a great store, but it is a fabric store, not a quilt shop. It has tons of cottons, even some that is exclusive to them.
