Just curious???? Does anyone go to Goodwill's or Second hand stores and pick up cotton sheets or flannel sheets to use for quilting????

I use them for backing, can't beat getting sheets for 2 bucks!

I use sheets for backing most of the time.Never had a problem with them.

Yes, I do for the backing. Most of the ones I find are white or solids.

I use them mostly for backing, but have used for background fab before.

I don't really use sheets or flannel that much for quilts but I do buy a lot of fabric scraps and sewing notions at Goodwill. I have found lots of misc. parts and feet for my sewing machines there!

Sometimes I pick up cotton blankets or flannel sheets for batting.

I sure do. I use them for backing on my quilts. You can get some really cute ones for next to nothing.

I do! :)

I love to find the novelty sheets for kids quilts, especially the vintage ones. I have used these for fronts and backs. I also love the vintage floral sheets. I have made a few quilts from these, as well.

I use them for backing, and also for everyday fabric napkins. I just cut them in squares, serge around them, and wash them. They save a lot of money over paper napkins.

I like the flannel for the napkins more because they seem to absorb/wipe things better than the sheets.

I just got 2 yards of a beautiful print for $1.99 and was thrilled. Now I am trying to find a pattern to use it with.
