Just wondering do you buy name brand fabric because of the print/color or do you buy it because it is name brand ie. Michael Miller, Amy Butler, Moda.....Just wondering because most recipients wouldn't even know the fabric line, unless they were fellow quilters. I guess it would be the same as carrying a Coach verses a Louis Vuitton purse.

I buy fabric because the colors and prints are pleasing to me. Although, I do have one designer that I tend to collect more than others, just because I like prims.

I usually just buy what I need or want, color, etc. Brand name is not that important to me. Like you say. The recipiant wouldn't know the difference anyway.

I buy fabric I think is pretty and feels good to me. If I like the weight of it and the color or pattern I'm good to go. When buying online, I might pay more attention to a brand name I know because I can't touch the fabric.

I buy what I like. No name brands here can't afford them. I shop walmart and they have gotten in some very nice fabrics here lately.

Both reasons really. I look at the print first but quite often check the name because I like certain brands better tahn others.

Color, color, color. That being said, if there are two similar ones, then I want the Benartex. So far it's my favorite feeling fabric. I do buy fabric other places than a LFQ if I like the feel and look of it. My new surprise retirement necessiates that.

I buy whatever I can afford. I shop everywhere. I do stay away from stripes and dots. I can never get them to look right. As far as color, I like bright. I don't really have anyone to give the quilts to so I just do whatever I want to do.
