I have some fabric that was given to me for Christmas that really is too pretty to cut. I have researched the pattern by that name....Too Pretty to Cut...but I am not sure that is what I want to do with it.

Does anyone have a favorite pattern that uses large pieces of one fabric? I have two yards of fabric. The print is large.

This was posted today, and I thought it was a great (and easy) pattern for large scale prints:

Much more effective than making a same-old D9P.

Oh, I like that! Thanks.

Maple Island quilts has a BQ pattern that looks great with quite a large pattern piece.

This is a great pattern for fabrics you don't want to cut.

Here's a slide show I made that lets u use large squares in each block . Puzzle box is also very pretty and has a nice size center in each block.

have you looked at the living large pattern book. It is by Heather Mulduar Peterson. I used it for a quilt where I was in love with the fabric.

I purchased the pattern "Just Can't Cut It".

Sorry, I was trying to reply to Zhillslady to comment how pretty that quilt is

You could use most of the piece for the center of the quilt and then put boarders on it and quilt a nice stitching design on it and that would show off that pretty fabric.

Or you could use those stretch frames and stretch it on and use it for wall art.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am close to a decision, I think. :)

I like the "turning twenty" for larger prints.

You could treat it as a panel and put coordinating blocks around it...google panel quilts for ideas!

There is a book called Just Can't Cut It: Quilts from Fabulous Fabrics.

My sister just finished a BQ Quilt shown below.

I seem to have the same problem but last week I just cut one of those too pretty to use .
