My daughter lives in Blue Spring, Missouri and she told me that her Walmart has fabric. She told me they even have remnants. She is going to mail me some and some by the yard. I like remnants, you can make so many things with them. Has anybody been to that Walmart fabric dept. and how did you like it?

Hi and welcome! From your board name I gather you are part of a military family. :) Thank you and your spouse for your service and dedication to us and our country! I had never heard of that book. I looked it up and it has great reviews.. here's a link to Amazon that has it for sell as well as informative reviews about it.

Okay, while I was over on Amazon I bought a copy of the 1776 book...couldn't pass up a book about a quilt's history AND it has quilt patterns..a 2 for 1! One of the pattern techniques is "inlay applique", and I love applique. I also read where the author of the book (and quilter) used researching and making this quilt as a means to help her work thru her grief of losing her 24 year old daughter to cancer..wow.. it has all 5 stars on the reviews, I can't wait to read it.
Thanks for the info, WWW.

That gives me hope that it will be put back in the Crossville Store.
