Hi! Thank you for the link where you can purchase fabrics. I have been ordering more and more online--much cheaper.

You can buy bolts at wholesale at fabricdepot.com without having to have a business license.

You can buy partial bolts at Marshalls Dry Goods on the wholesale side and you do not need a tax number or license. Last time I went I paid 1.55 per yard.

I spent some time yesterday browsing their website. Great fabrics and prices, however, I would say 90 % of the fabrics that I clicked on were out of stock. Is that normal? And are they getting them back in?

Its always that way. I asked them about it one time and they said just call them with your order. They would rather do business by phone I think.

Are you saying they aren't really out of stock when it says so on their website? If so, I'll have quite a list for them, really loved a lot of their fabrics!

I have a business and tax license but not using it at this time but can activate it again. Most of the fabric manufactors are over seas but there are many in the united states as well. Getting fabric from the manufactor is the lowest price you can get but a person has to buy quanity. Whole sale fabric is a markup from the manufactor price and then the finial price is retail and the stores that sell fabric mark it up to what ever they want. I have the resource for buying from the manufactors and that 5 dollar fabric you buy can be less then few dollars a yard. Been really thinking of starting up a fabric store online were the prices are affordable exspecially in this economy that we live in!

Deborah, That's a great idea! All of us here on the board can buy from you.

I know you can find good fabrics online for something like 4$ a yard, but they seem to be older lines. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Well, do you have a JoAnns where you live? Do you get the flyer?? take your 40 or 50% coupon and buy a fresh bolt of the desired fabric - I always get whitish on whitish cause there ALWAYS is a need! Coupons come our regularly and your stash could grow in nothing flat!
