My LQS who I think is over priced is selling their floor model Tin Lizzie 18 for around $6k..is that a fair price??

Just wondering..and not that I would ever BUY it, but it makes me mad to think about inflation..unless I am clueless when it comes to this stuff??!!

It depends on the modle. I saw the Tin Lizzie 18 (new) on ebay for a thousand dollars less with free shipping. They also make a bigger machine, (26" I think) which costs more and and perhaps other 18" models. If the machine is the basic Queen Quilter then it is too much.

a good frame can be around 2000

Last year there was someone selling their 3 year old TL with the frame and some other accessories for $4000... That was listed on Craigslist in TN I believe. She had upgraded to a larger throated machine.

I'm sure that isn't much help..
If you ask me, it sounds kinda high - especially if it has had a lot of quilts done on it. A lot of those dealer machines get used A LOT.

On the flipside.... I hate to sound wishy washy... I don't know how much a new one goes for these days....
