Fairfield Batting from Joann's - Any one use this?

I purchased a package of this a while ago and took it to my LAQ to use in my brother's quilt. She called to ask if I would mind if she substituted with her warm and natural...said it was so stretchy. She gave it back to me and it did seem to show handling pretty easily. Just curious if any one else has used this and what they thought. I won't buy this brand again.

I never have a problem with Fairfield Batting, but I also like Warm And Natural. If I see FB on sale, I buy it. I've never had an issue with it stretching, but I have just noticed with the last package that I bought of it, that it's bearding and it never did that before, so I don't know if they recently changed the way they make the batting.

I use the 80/20 Fairfield batting from JoAnns all the time on my LAQ with great success. I like it as well as W&N.

I've always used W&N but yesterday I used the Fairfield 80/20 for the first time in a pieced quilt ; I am quilting it with a walking foot on home machine. I love the way it quilts & it seemed easier for me to pin baste it. Did notice it was a bit stretchy but was able to work with it much easier than any other I have used. I will try it again.

Thanks for the question and thanks to everyone for opinions. I haven't bought it and looks like I won't.

I just used the FB 80/20 on a twin size quilt that I am handquilting and I love it. I also use WN but I think WN is more for machine quilting as I have trouble getting the needle thru it in hand quilting. Just my opinion.

I've used the FB 80/20 for many years and have never had problems with it. It's not as nice as the W&N, but you get what you pay for. :0/
