Is anyone having trouble with the templates?

Yes, I think number 5, the bat wing is the wrong size template. I have done the first 8 with no problem except that one. The middle section was fine, but neither of the other ones are the right size!

should the title say quilta LONG?...

I have only done a couple of the blocks thus far. Are you using the book or the CD?

I checked my notes from when I/we started this back in 2010 and I show no changes or corrections on #5 Bat Wing. I would have to go back and look at my templates for sure, but myblock looks pretty good, so I am not sure where you are having your problem.
Go to SEARCH at the top of the page and type in Bat Wing and see if a thread comes up about it. There may be something on theoriginal groups posts about a problem.

I just got out my templates and I have no notes about a change. I know on some of the blocks we had to make changes, apparently this was not one of them.

What is it you are having difficulty with? Maybe one of us can help out.

When I went to SEARCH there was a thread about 19 or 20 down from the top with pics from FW Bat Wing.

I am using the free templates. I have the book, but can not find the cd, that I know I had! lol The triangles for the bat wing just do not fit. It seems they should be a mirror of each other. Neither on will work and I have cut every way! But, thanks for the response, I am having fun with the blocks!
