I have one I made. I found it cumbersome when seated as the mat interferes. Probably just me.

One was given to me years ago & I love it. I've since made some for other friends. Mine is simple, without the scalloped edges but yours is prettier than mine & the ones I've made. It helps me keep things right at my fingertips when sewing.
