Thanks for this post and all the replies. It makes me feel better about the prices around here. I have never seen a $3 fat quarter in my LQS or in the one in the next town. They are regularly $2.25 at one and $2 at the other. Your $1.85 is still a great deal, but I didn't realize they were so much in other places.

I'd say so in my area because they are $ 2.75 here.

Have never used fat quarters, but a pattern I liked called for them. Fortunately, my LQS had them on sell for $1.00 and I was able to pick 15 that kind of went together. After looking them over, I'll use 14 of them and purchased one from JoAnn's when they were on sale for about $1.50 to complete those needed.

I guess I didn't realize how great a deal I got at a LQS.. I paid $1.50.. I only bought a couple, as I didn't find what I was looking for.. I was looking for dark colors. It seems that they didn't have any dark value colors.. I went to Joann's after, and they also didn't have any dark values.. I went to the thrift store after, and ended up with 15 yards of fabric, and paid $12.. That wasn't in dark values, but I couldn't pass it up.. I am going to the quilt show in Lancaster this weekend, and hopefully will get my fix of dark values.. I also want to get some really bright colors.. I have fallen in love with the brights of Kaffe Fassett..

From here those look like quality fabrics, and I'd say you got a great deal. Lovely colors too!

I live in SC and I buy fat quarters from Connecting threads. That seems like a pretty good price...

Very pretty colors and a great price. Sue
