Fat quarters
I bought a package of 5 fat quarters. they are absolutely adorable but I'm not sure what I can do with only 5 fat quarters. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
|
Mini quilt wall hanging.
|
Decorative pillows for couch, etc.
|
Continue to save up for a quilt..they don't have to be used right away!
|
Find coordinating fabric and buy yardage to make a bigger quilt. Have fun.

This whips up fast, it calls for 3 fat quarters. http://quiltbug.com/free/table-topper.htm

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I love to make different mug rugs and FQs are a good choice for them

A pretty tote bag.

There is a pattern at Joann's called "Cheaper by the half dozen". It calls for 6 fq. When the 5-packs of fq are on sale
I buy one and then find a coordinating fabric that I can use as the 6th fq and also a border. It makes a very good size (and inexpensive) quilt for charity. |
these are all wonderful suggestions and i am glad someone asked because here is my question. i have a bestest friend in the whole world that loves the phrase believe. i bought a beautiful yard of black fabric with the word all over it in white, blue, purplish and then one line phrase on it. i don't want to cut the piece up that much and i have a half yard of co-ordinating striped fabric and a terrific tone on tone white in another half yard piece. i can choose other fabric as well i just need to find the perfect thing for her. a wall hanging would be great or something for her kitchen but i just don't have the right idea or pattern. can you help. thanks

a doll quilt. I just finished one for my GD's American Girl doll. They are so cute and fun to make. I didn't use a pattern. Just did my own thing with 3 fq's.

find a tone on tone or solid that goes with all of them and extend their use
|
When I buy fat bundles I also buy matching yardage for borders and binding.
